Swagger
10/08/12 to 11/08/12 - 10pm to 2am
‘Swagger’ are a friendly, professional and experienced 5-piece Function band from Cambridge, UK. With years of experience on the circuit and heaps of raw talent, they approach any gig with professionalism and a true passion for the greatest tunes of ANY decade.Matt Start (Drums) and Tiago Coimbra (Bass) provide a solid funk groove to ensure the jazzy solos of Josh Ison (Sax) and blues-rocking of Vess Popov (Guitar) come back down to earth eventually. Owen Chambers fronts the band with an impressive display of musical versatility, ranging from rhythmic piano backing, to modern synth sounds and trumpet solos. Owen’s lead vocals are brilliantly complimented by Matt’s harmonising tricks, which has allowed the band to offer a much broader repertoire than most ensembles while still doing perfect justice to the originals.
