Hammer & Tongue Cambridge featuring Byron Vincent and Captain of the Rant at The Emperor
12/01/11 to 12/01/11 - 19:30 to 22:30 - Free
Time again for another round of the Cambridge Hammer & Tongue 2010-2011 season...
Featuring Spoken Word Stand Up comedy from Byron Vincent and Captain of the Rant
Slam champion Byron was dragged up on some of the country’s toughest council estates. His flowery name and love of language ensured that his journey was a challenging one. Never a defeatist he fought back with poetry. This was a terrible strategy and he regularly got his head kicked in.
He’s more than ably supported by “Captain of the Rant”, an East London-based spoken word artist and performance poet who has been performing under his rather unique pseudonym since May 2008, and has quickly become established as an energetic, passionate and witty performer.
