800th Midsummer Fair & Market posted on 1 June 2011

Cambridge's Midsummer Fair held on the Common is one of the oldest fairs in the UK following a charter made in 1211 by King John formalising the holding of an annual fair in the area of the Common.

Celebrating its 800th birthday this year, the fair features some of the best new rides around for thrill seekers everywhere plus traditional rides including dodgems, carousels and ghost trains. Why not bring the family and enjoy the usual fun of the fair including candy floss, hot dogs, toffee apples and more - a great outing, whatever your age!

A great outing for the whole family!

This event takes place on Midsummer Common.
