Howler posted on 6 August 2012
Described by founding frontman Jordan Gatesmith as “80’s punk band cleaned up just enough so you could stick a corsage on it and take it to prom,” Howler is a young and unique band not to be overlooked. Think Lou Reed’s Transformer guitar skills, Lux Interior turned twee vocals, with an injection of 60’s American rock and pop, and you might come close to the awesome and ingenious sounds created by guitarist, singer-songwriter Jordan, Max Petrek on keys, Brent Mayes as drummer, and newbie Ian Nygaard on guitar. Definitely one to watch.
