The Cambridge Gift Shop posted on 1 May 2011

The Cambridge Gift Shop can be found on Peas Hill in the heart of the city. The shop itself is positioned next door to the Cambridge Tourist Information Centre, which is a part of the listed building that encompasses The Guildhall, just off the Market Square.

The Cambridge Gift Shop is a delightful space to browse a selection of Cambridge related souvenirs, ranging from official Cambridge University products, like their extremely popular hooded tops (which are available at a bargain £19.99) to books, toys, clothing, teddy bears and DVDs. You’ll find so many gifts to choose from, offering the perfect shopping destination for visitors to the city or for local residents who want to buy a present for a friend or loved one. You’ll find gifts such as I Love Cambridge t-shirts, beanie caps, Union Jack paperweights, decorative plates, postcards and so much more. Some of the most popular gifts available in the shop include items from their delightful collectables range, including Lilliput Lane models of classic British landmarks and Hansa cuddly toys, which are collections of beautifully crafted stuffed animals. The Cambridge Gift Shop also sells DVD tours of the city - the perfect keepsake gift for tourists wanting to re-live their visit to Cambridge or show their friends and family the amazing sites they witnessed whilst wandering through the historic cobbled streets.

If you are visiting the city, The Cambridge Gift Shop should definitely be your first port of call, the shop offers a range of city maps and guides to help you find all the top attractions Cambridge has to offer – and the gift shop staff are always available to chat to, if you get lost or have any questions about where to go.

As well as being the ideal shopping destination for Cambridge Tourists, The Cambridge Gift Shop is also home to one of the most intriguing attractions in the city – Cambridge Revisited.

Cambridge Revisited is aimed at visitors and locals alike, offering a historical insight into one of the oldest cities in the country. The show takes place in the old Crown Courtroom just opposite The Cambridge Gift Shop and is led by P.C Bobbins - a fictional 1930s Police Officer, who is investigating a trial involving the “other place” – the city of Oxford, to you and I. P.C Bobbins interacts with his audience throughout the show - giving them a brief insight into the case, before introducing a short video tour of the city - followed by a full police questioning, an unaccompanied Cambridge Walk Around and a Cambridge Quiz, where audience members get the chance to win prizes.

Just pop into The Cambridge Gift Shop any time between the hours of 11:00 and 16:00, 7 days per week, to discover a hidden treasure chest that holds everything you need to know about Cambridge!
